Providing Modest Meals to HCPs is an accepted practice when conducting legitimate Arthrex Business and when following all State and federal laws. Spouses, family members and staff members who do not have a legitimate business interest are prohibited from participating in meals.

Meals at which educational content is presented should be held at a venue conducive to the transfer of information. Avoid scheduling business meals that coincide in time and place with recreational or entertainment activities.

Establish and follow meal limits for dining with HCPs. This includes ALL drinks before, during and after the meal as well as tax and gratuity.

  • Meals should be limited to $50.00 per person for Breakfast/Lunch and $175.00 per person for dinner (including ALL drinks before, during and after meal).
  • Drinks should be limited to 2 per attendee so as not to impair judgement.
Providing entertainment or recreational activities for HCPs or their immediate family members, partners or other guests is prohibited. Examples of entertainment and recreation include but are not limited to, theater excursions, sporting events, golfing, skiing, hunting, clubbing, events where live music is the main attraction and sightseeing, leisure or vacation trips.
